I couldn't get this music out of my head after hearing it on the crazy Japanese music police advert for Three, which was shown a lot between overs during the fifth Ashes Test. I tracked it down via some website which matches commercials to songs, and bought this Chi-Lites compilation containing it. The next morning it arrived on my desk; I put on my big headphones and flicked forward to track 7, feeling a bit like the Japanese housewife in the advert. After the first twenty seconds - the ascending harmonies, the descending harmonies, the rough guitar counter melody, the dirty plate reverb - a little ecstatic tear dripped onto my keyboard.
